A Foodie Goes Clean: Day 3

Okay, so I didn’t fall off the bandwagon, but today definitely wasn’t as good of a day as the last two (read Day 1 & Day 2). It was a little carbyer than would be ideal, but hey, we do what we can. I also had to leave for work early, so I didn’t pack a lunch, meaning I didn’t eat lunch, but I did eat half a bagel and half a muffin at our meeting this morning. Waaah. Anyway, no excuses, here’s what I ate today.

Breakfast

Greek Yogurt with banana & cinnamon (1 serving)

  • 1 cup 2% Fage Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Mix everything together in a bowl and yum.

2 Potato & Onion Pierogies drizzled with olive oil

Dinner

Avocado-Garlic Toast (1 serving)

  • 2 slices multigrain toast
  • 1/2 avocado20151014_180148
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Pinch of oregano

Why pay $12 at a trendy restaurant for a piece of toast with avocado on it, when it’s so easy to make at home? Mash the avocado and minced garlic together, spread over toast, sprinkle with salt and oregano on top. That’s literally all you have to do, and it’s delish.
